The crypto exchange of Binance is creating jobs for the youth in El Salvador as part of its strategy in assisting the Bitcoin-friendly nation in tackling the gang issues in the country.
According to Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, the exchange has hired seven new staff in El Salvador in the last two weeks. Furthermore, BINANCE has sent out over 13 job offers and posted over 50 job openings in the same period.

Binance Has a Crypto Training Program in El Salvador
CZ pointed out that most of its hires in El Salvador were on the Spanish customer service line, with other roles soon available. Binance also has a training program in the country to educate the majority of El Salvadorians on digital assets as crypto ‘also improves financial inclusion’.
President Nayib Bukele is Committed to the Fight Against Gangs
Binance hiring the youth in El Salvador comes at a time when President Nayib Bukele is leading a nationwide crackdown on gangs. In a tweet earlier today, President Bukele updated his followers that over 12,000 gang members had been arrested in the last 21 days due to El Salvador’s government instilling emergency powers for 30 days to tackle an increase in gang-related homicides.
Bitfinex and Tether Raise $2M For Families Affected by Gang Violence
According to the Wall Street Journal, most of the murder victims were working-class citizens who were often the target of extortion by the MS-13 and 18th Street gangs. Furthermore, the recent increment in violence was triggered by a breakdown of the truce between gangs and the government.
The crypto exchange of Bitfinex and the company of Tether has launched a funding campaign to help the families of those affected by the gang violence in El Salvador. The two companies initially donated 25 Bitcoin, with the amount soon rising to 36 BTC due to the crypto community’s donations.
Bitfinec and Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino recently updated via Twitter that donations were now close to $2 million.
