When Bill Cosby’s fate was determined, he decided he wanted to hide his assets from the government and his soon to be ex-wife. On the advice of his financial analyst, it is reported that he invested 5 million dollars into Bitcoin when it was $7,500 a piece. He was told that by investing in Bitcoin, his assets would be untraceable.
Since he bought Bitcoin, the price has surged and at the time of writing is valued at and around $60,000. This means that his initial investment has grown almost 700% and his coins are now worth 10s of millions of dollars. Potentially Bill Cosby is therefore a Bitcoin whale.
Some analysts predict that Bitcoin will go on to hit $100,00, $200,00, and upwards. If this turns out to be the case, then Bill Cosby will be the holder of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin all the while rotting in prison.
So, it begs the question, what will happen to Cosby’s millions. Has he or a representative already sold his Bitcoin fortune? Has he left his crypto wallet to someone in his will? Or will his Bitcoin disappear into the ether upon his death? – decreasing the supply further.
