A Modern Conspiracy Theory - Cryptocurrency Does Not Meet The Mainstream Narrative?

Believe what you want of the good old banks and the banking system out there in the real world, but I have to scratch my head sometimes and wonder why banks never adopted Cryptocurrency before Bitcoin was a twinkle in Satoshi's keyboard - what I mean is that the Banking Sector had been one of the first to adopt digital banking and spread it out to the masses. It could be argued banks could quite easily have made a heavy move into smarter currency but did not... Why?

Here is the conspiracy part... Decentralised, pretty much ungovernable and invisible banking just does not appeal to the banking sector, for a great many reasons.

We all in the Cryptocurrency world like our privacy, as much as the real world bank customers do. But with Cryptocurrency privacy works in a very much different way to the privacy does via regular banking - this privacy being you and your data.

The banking industry has arguably not been at its most stable since the crash in 2008 and recently suffered jitters in 2020 due to the sickness that we dare not mention. Yet people still entrust a great deal in the banks, that actually thrive on your data and you - you are the ultimate reason anonymity in transactions and banking in the real world are not a great mix. Your data and you splashed out all over the credit reference agencies, marketing campaigns, statistics analysis, government in some countries, and the list goes on... I mean it is a wonder any banking gets done in a day with all the data squeezing being done.

There are so many mainstream industries that rely on the real world data and financial transactions, with an attached identity... That identity being you, in many cases right down to who you work for, who your energy suppliers are, your doctor, insurance... You get the general idea.

So it is not too unrealistic to assume a lot of the reason that Cryptocurrency is not really a main headline on the national business news, and if it is there is usually a bad story attached or a quick poke and swipe if the price of Bitcoin takes a nosedive.

There is also an element of truth that the mainstream media have owners that have corporate interests in many of the things you meet up with in daily life - it is argued that the mainstream media has a narrative, and that Cryptocurrency is not a part of that narrative.

Being invisible in the real world would effect regular banking and shake much of industry to its knees in no sense of the imagination... I mean this is a given.

For the majority, Bitcoin and various other Cryptocurrency Altcoins have a huge privacy benefit that thinking about it and putting all the pieces together... Is there actually any truth in Cryptocurrency not meeting the mainstream narrative?

It does make one wonder and speculate...
