As most of us, crypto enthusiasts, know SEC lawsuit to ripple company and Christian Larsen, the company's co-founder, executive chairman of its board, and former CEO; and Bradley Garlinghouse, the company's current CEO forced the price of XRP to drop reaching lows that date back to August 2020.
The question that hangs over us is to what extent is it possible for xrp to recover and whether it is possible for xrp to catch the bitcoin train and all altcoins.
Things don't look very happy for the foreseeable future with the increase in the number of exchanges blocking or delisting xrp for fear that it will be considered security.
So what are the possibilities for xrp for 2021?
The main one is that the SEC's process does not result in anything directly negative for the xrp community and results in enlightenment for all crypto, but as we are all aware the lawsuits go on for many months and sometimes years, which can make this pressure on xrp persist long enough for all of us to hitch a ride with bitcoin to the moon.
The second possibility comes from the fact that bitcoin does not wait for altcoins and continues to rise without suffering a lateral movement that normally results in enough time for altcoins to catch up. In this scenario, xrp is unlikely to hit ATH.
I believe that even with all the controversy surrounding the SEC process xrp price will increase following the entire market, the intrinsic technology to xrp is already used in countries like japan where the currency is quite popular (3 currencies more discussed behind BTC and ETH)
The third possibility comes from the fact that the SEC process is negative for the XRP community, noting that even though the process proves that the ripple company and its CEO's have purposely dumped millions of XRP into the markets and dealt with whales directly and offering discounts (as described in the file), it doesn't make the currency weaker, it just makes us feel like small chess pieces ready to be manipulated by them without knowing it. If it is proven that XRP is in fact a security well in that case the future is even more uncertain than any of us xrp supporters predicted, it is very likely that xrp will not cease to exist but it is also very likely that the price of xrp will fall to even more worrying levels.
That said, this is just my opinion mixed with my expectations for XRP, I just wanted to leave a message of hope to all XRP HOLDers and say that they are not alone. There are still people who believe that this is just a nightmare.
