Wikileaks and Satoshi's Final Message

On December 12, 2010, the creator of Bitcoin and the blockchain empire, Lord Satoshi Nakamoto, departed the crypto world after giving final message in Bitcointalks forum.

WikiLeaks' plan that alarmed Satoshi

In December 2010, after PayPal froze Julian Assange's account due to government sanction on his whistleblower platform WikiLeaks, Assange intended to use the decentralised Bitcoin system. This was the plan that made Bitcoin a global currency; however, the same plan also frightened Satoshi.

Why was Satoshi scared?

Satoshi opposed WikiLeaks, as Bitcoin was still in its infancy and WikiLeaks was able to draw unwanted political attention towards Bitcoin. Probably Satoshi thought Bitcoin would face attacks for directly fighting corruption, but Bitcoin was decentralised, so Satoshi couldn't even stop WikiLeaks.

Satoshi's Final Message

Satoshi claimed that wikileaks "kicked the hornet's nest," and on December 12, 2010, Satoshi posted a message in which he cited the need for work to stop denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. This was Satoshi's last message, after which he became a mystery and Bitcoin became an economic innovation.
