PayPal CEO Dan Schulman expressed his views on third-quarter earnings and announced that the recently launched Bitcoin and cryptocurrency service will be available to all US users by December.

Currently, only 10 percent of the company's American customers can buy and store cryptocurrency.

As far as international users are concerned, PayPal plans to expand its service globally next year.

 Scaling

PayPal finally announced its support for Bitcoin and three altcoins on October 21, after months of speculation.

This move served as the catalyst for a massive rally that pushed the world's largest cryptocurrency to its highest level of $ 14,100 on October 31st.

Schulman announced the success of his company's new offering, claiming that waiting lists are two or three times his initial expectations.

Due to huge demand, PayPal increased the weekly purchase limit for cryptocurrencies to $ 15,000.

In the first half of 2021, the payments giant will allow shopping at 28 million assisted workplaces.

Moreover, it will also bring crypto services to the Venmo application.

 Broader goals

Schulman also points to the rise of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) for the retail industry, emphasizing that this issue is extremely important.

He adds that the company has enough capacity to create "the most attractive digital wallet":

Regulation and Society adoption
