I know this phrase might be 2 sided and we see it differently depending on how you approach your investments assets and Forex markets. Back in the days i used to say "It's better to lose a $100 than to miss an opportunity of being a millionaire because you was scared to lose your $100". These days um more protective when it comes to my finances because i have lost more than i could afford to lose in the name of being an investor.
There is no doubt that in every business there are risks involved and whenever you venture into a business you have to be willing to take a win or embrace the loss with open hands lol. There is a saying which says "you don't go near the fire expecting not to sweat", so anything can happen but you have to make sure the odds are always in you favor or else you will pour your hard earned money in the drain.
Missing an Opportunity
In the crypto markets you will find investment opportunities every time, its either there is a newly listed crypto asset or there is a pre-sale maybe there is a dip and you jump in and buy. Just because that its a pre-sale and you are told that the project will 100X does not mean that you should buy that token because the pre-sale prices are set by the devs and project owners, of-which in the real world the prices are determined by the market. So there are chances that you might buy an over valued asset and when its finally listed the price will fall hard and you lose money.
Losing Money
Lets say you are too aggressive with markets and you just decide to jump in as a result of FOMO you might regret it. Lets say a sh*tcoin is dropped on the market and when the devs want to make money they will just start Hyping that tokens promising heaven on earth and you jump in. By jumping in without proper analysis you might not put it into mind that for a Sell to happen there should be Buy orders ready to buy, so you might lose it and be amongst the victims list and lose your money.
So on my side i will chose to miss an opportunity than to lose my money and wait for the perfect moment to buy my crypto assets. On dips its not every dip that you should jump into remember some tokens will forever dip and your money will dip aswel.
