Anyway, I saw a post on noise.cash yesterday where someone was complaining about the price of ADA not taking off after Mary went live, and had to respond...
Of course, I wanted to call them an assface or some equally degrading slur, but then I thought for a moment and deleted the mean name that I had just typed, leaving only the calm explanation that token price is not actually determined by token functionality, instead being a function of the market.
Currently, most tokens that I've invested in (as a four-or-fewer-figure investor, at least) have very limited use cases, the most significant of which being the uses of BNB and ETH for transaction fees. Many tokens can be staked, and sometimes you even get the right to vote on the future of the project if you are staking some. Then there are a couple of insurance tokens, and tokens that you can exchange for NFTs in Nyanswop and Narwhalswap, but that's kind of it. Or at least all I'm aware of...
As the world of NFTs and DeFi continues to grow, I hope to see some more creative use cases, as do we all, I'm sure. And I think that's why the price of the native Cardano token just pumped so hard. We're battling this extreme excitement, a little bit of greed, and the virtue of patience all at the same time.
Sometimes it's really hard to be patient. You want that 10000% APY. You see people in Telegram groups complaining that it's not high enough. Ten-thousand percent APY means that my investment should grow ten-thousand times when I withdraw it, right?

Seriously. I was playing with a bunch of degen projects in February, so I saw all of that...
And in doing so, I have come to appreciate my $12/hour salary at the plant nursery so much more. It's not a lot, but it's low-stress, meaningful work.
... Plus, I'm getting like 1000% APY on the side in autofarm XD
