So after subtle pressure from @trumpman, @ebingo and @bhoa, I have finally started playing Dcity. I'm active in the technical sense of it but I honestly don't know what I'm doing.
How do I deal with the homeless bum
All I know is that I started buying cards that are generated randomly and my city's population started growing. Each card costs 800 SIM or you can also pay with Hive at 4 Hive per card.
Events
I have also hosted two events through my other Hive engine tokens that are accepted in the game. One event is SPlinterfest and the other is a science convention.
The splinterfest event offers yields a bonus of +5% ENTRY production. Every 2h, you will also have an 18% chance to earn Gamer cards and a 2% chance to earn DICE pack. It can only be done when popularity is more than 10. No idea how that works but my popularityalso increased substantially when I bought up all those cards in the game.
The science convention offers 40-120 education for 24h, (20%) chance to receive scientist every 2 hours and chance to win STEM miner. That's good I guess but I have grown tired of STEMGeeks in recent time because of how glitchy the front-end has become.
Government
One of my main reasons for getting active in the game was because of the election. I was entering under the impression that it would be for a whole year but it is actually a 2-week tenure.
If you're a member of DCity and you play the game, I suggest you vote for @trumpman because he will lower taxes and make life less shittier than it is now.
Increasing your simpower determines how much influence your vote carries. I'm not entirely sure how the Sim Power works but mine shot up when I started buying cards, so there's that. Just buy cards.
Questions
I'm still adjusting to the surroundings and I'm sure I'll have many questions in the future, however, today, I have just two questions; what is the difference between first edition cards and second edition cards? How do I deal with that homeless bum?
