One of the theories indicates that although ETH made a new ATH today, it is still far from being able to achieve an ATH against BTC, since its historical maximum is in the order of 0.15 BTC, that is, 15% of its value. Currently ETH is in the order of 4% of BTC, so it still has a long way to go.
IF the price of BTC consolidates between 30k and 42k, we could potentially be seeing ETH break 4,500 or 6,300.
Another theory indicates that ETH could be doing in January 2021 the same as BTC in January 2017, which could give a price close to 20k by the end of the year.
