On Semptember 24th the XRP LEDGER Foundation (XRPLF), an indipendent non-profit organization, was launched. The organization was created to improve the growth, innovation and development of the XRP Ledger and XRP community.
Another good news for Ripple that, despites struggling on the markets in the last years, continue to grow under the radar. Just a few days ago, Ripple announced that they have partnered with HDFC, India’s private sector bank, to enable faster and cheaper transactions using the XRPL.
I was quite excited about this news. I'm a long time XRP Hodler - not my best deal in crypto so far to be honest - and I've followed its development over the years.
What is the XRP Ledger Foundation?
The XRP Ledger Foundation received an initial donation of over $6.5M from Coil, Ripple and Gatehub to help expand the Foundation’s work and serve the growing number of developers and other community members building on the XRP Ledger.
The Foundation’s vision is to support in the development of a healthy XRP Ledger ecosystem that encompasses the involvement of developers, public and private enterprises and social initiatives. The Foundation will also work with the broader community, including academic institutions and nonprofits, to meet the ever-changing challenges of fast and low-cost transfer of value in the years ahead
