Nick Szabo is a computer scientist, legal expert, and cryptographer who is well-known for his work on digital currency and contracts. The "father of smart contracts," Szabo, has been referred to, and due to similarities in writing style and technical expertise, he has been proposed as a prospective Satoshi replacement.
Hal Finney: He is a computer programmer and early Bitcoin developer who received the first-ever Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto. Finney has been suggested as a potential candidate for Satoshi due to his early involvement with the project and his proximity to the pseudonymous creator.
Dorian Prentice Satoshi Nakamoto: He is a Japanese-American man whose name was put forward as a possible Satoshi Nakamoto in 2014 by a journalist at Newsweek. Dorian denied the claim, and further research has cast doubt on the idea that he is the true Satoshi.
It could be a group of people instead of an individual.
Some unsupportted claims suggest that Bitcoin was invented by the CIA: Some people have suggested that the CIA created Bitcoin in order to have a new form of control over the global financial system.
Elon Musk: The theory that Elon Musk is Satoshi Nakamoto is based on the idea that Musk has the technical knowledge and resources to have created Bitcoin
Some believe that Satoshi is a time-traveler, who created Bitcoin to be used in the future
Others think Satoshi is an extraterrestrial, who chose to reveal Bitcoin to humanity as a way to help us progress.
Bill Gates: Some have suggested that Bill Gates is Satoshi Nakamoto because of his wealth and knowledge of computer science.
These are just a few examples of the many hypotheses that have been put forward over the years, and the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto remains a mystery.
