Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday in the United States. My family immigrated to this vast country when I was three but we quickly adopted this tradition jumping in with both feet. I was the oldest of three boys, my two brothers were both "yankees" as my father would label them. We would gobble up the feast watching our hometown Detroit Lions typically lose as was their annual tradition. Now that we are older, it is bringing together our families that has netted my parents eight grandchildren with the youngest now being teenagers.
As I brined the turkey this year to prepare for my family arriving, I began to look back this past year which was my first in crypto and came up with some things that I am thankful for. Being the 24th of November, 24 items seemed appropriate although the list runs much deeper than that.
- I'm thankful for having an old laptop lying around last November and learning how to mine crypto
- I'm thankful for my new Macbook Air, where all the crypto magic happens
- I'm thankful for my iPhone as well keeping me connected to crypto on the go
- I'm thankful for YouTube with videos that have walked me through so much crypto complexity
- I'm thankful for Discord and Telegram, two platforms I had little use for prior to crypto
- I'm thankful for not having an FTX account or having been involved with Terra / Luna
- I'm thankful for primarily steering clear of tokens outside the top ten
- I'm thankful for the crypto school of hard knocks because I've still learned from a few mistakes
- I'm thankful for all the exchanges like PancakeSwap that let me trade in and out of coins
- I'm thankful for crypto bridges which allow me to swap coins into different networks
- I'm thankful for my LEDGER because my keys mean my crypto
- I'm thankful for MetaMask, a wallet I interact with so often everyday
- I'm thankful for the BRAVE browser along with Presearch, new ways to surf and search the web
- I'm thankful for CoinGecko for tracking it all and no longer having to put it all in spreadsheets
- I'm thankful for Google Sheets because, well I still track a lot of crypto in spreadsheets
- I'm thankful for my dog Kuda, the inspiration behind the first token I created
- I'm thankful for crypto trading bots who do all the work, even when I'm sleeping
- I'm thankful for NFTs which have provided an amazing creative outlet
- I'm thankful for OPENSEA and MATIC which allow me to give out free NFTs
- I'm thankful for yield farming, perhaps my favorite crypto projects
- I'm thankful for Amazon for providing a place to publish my book on yield farming
- I'm thankful for the BOTZ team who have helped me launch my first crypto project
- I'm thankful for all the tips, likes and followers I have received in the past year, truly thankful
- I'm thankful for, most of all, the PUBLISH0X community of writers and readers...
Publish0x is such a great platform with a fantastic community. Your positive feedback has inspired me to write again, not only article but a book and four white papers in the last few weeks alone. Your articles have enlightened me so much as far as crypto is concerned and I learn more with each new article I click on.
Now please excuse me as I take another tryptophan induced power nap...
