The number of Tether blacklisted addresses with USDT using the ERC-20 protocol has reached forty, according to Dune Analytics . On July 10, the stablecoin issuer froze a $ 1.58 million wallet with assets.

Dune Analytics was launched by Ethereum researcher Philip Castongway. Since the beginning of 2020, the service has recorded the addition of Tether to the black list of twenty-one Ethereum addresses with coins worth millions of dollars.

Their owners cannot send, receive and redeem USDT. Tokens cannot be used.

The largest frozen Tether amount this year is USD 4.57 million. For the first time, the company blacklisted the Ethereum address in November 2017, it stores 909.5 USDT.

Stuart Hogner, head of the legal department at Bitfinex, an affiliate of Tether, explained earlier that the blockages are due to cooperation with law enforcement agencies.

According Dune Analytics, June 16, the issuer stablecoin USDC consortium Centre first introduced to blacklist Ethereum-address with $ 100,000 in cryptocurrency. The Center said that this happened at the request of law enforcement agencies.
