Take a Tea Break!

During the latest dip (and possibly in the future dips) you were probably constantly checking your exchange portfolios and fretting about all that red as you watched your hard-earned coins you’ve been hodling suddenly bite the dust (Thanks Elon).

Not to worry! Your resident tea-guy is here to help you feel right as rain when you’ve got the dip related tummy aches and hamster wheel mind! Before we begin, make sure to start a pot of water or an electric kettle to boil!

For this tea, start with one good sized chunk of fresh ginger (about the size of your thumb), wash it off well and chop it up into as many squares as you want! Put the new ginger squares into either a mortar or small bowl.

Then, take 3 or 4 small pinches of dried (or fresh) lavender and sprinkle that on top of the ginger. Next, use the pestle (or spoon of your choice) to crush up the ginger and lavender until you can smell those sweet and spicy aromas wafting off your kitchen counter (the lavender’s volatile oils will start to relax your body and take your mind away from those pesky red bars).

Finally, place the macerated ingredients in either:

  • A tea strainer

or

  • An unused paper coffee filter (fold up the sides and staple it shut)

Pour your boiled water in with the tea and there you have a nice relaxing cup of tea! The ginger will alleviate any nausea or stomach pains you may have after the stressors of financial mayday and the lavender will relax you into a restful oblivion (lavender oil has also been shown to be beneficial to the Liver! In case any consolatory alcohol was imbibed).

Let me know if you liked this tea and/or this post!
