In that article I read that one singapore situated Carpooling company named Ryde that provide quick riding(transport) facilities had announced that they will launch its own Bitcoin wallet and start accepting Bitcoin as payment method for its ride service and become the first carpooling company to accept Bitcoin as payment method.
They also said that users can only store up to 715 dollar worth of Bitcoin in that wallet and they also said that the transaction will be held at current market price of bitcoin and they had also said that they will also add other crypto in future.
I came to know about this news when Firm founder and CEO Terence Zou said that
“COVID-19 has accelerated the shift towards digital payments and Ryde is set to be a game-changer for cryptocurrency adoption in Singapore. [...] As consumers get used to paying for ride-hailing services through Bitcoin, we envisage that this will be a catalyst that spurs the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies here.”
