Having heard about the ability to set any browser as the default within iOS 14 was a thing I was waiting the most looking forward to setting all the family devices to use BRAVE as the default one. The day of iOS 14 has finally come... so why can't I still set Brave as the default browser?
Although the feature to change the Default Browser App is clearly visible in iOS 14, clearly Brave isn't yet an option. Worry not though, it is coming. In essence we should expect a new version in the app store within the coming days which will make it possible.
The reason being is that Apple doesn't simply qualify any app (not even as big as Chrome or Firefox) as a candidate for being able to set as default browser. It is more up to the developer of the app to conform to a set of requirements which would make you eligible to qualify for this feature. That being said, Brave seems to be the one of the app developers slightly lagging behind in that it has only submitted its release candidate last week to be approved and rolled out to the App Store.
