RollerCoin “Task” Wall

Our Rollerfriends have implemented an offerwall, and it functions exactly like every other offerwall ever, except for one thing it has in common with other crypto—but not fiat— offerwalls.

RLT 2x Reward

This week’s 2x reward is RLT, the native pretend-token of RollerCoin. I say pretend because you can’t actually withdraw it directly and it isn’t listed on any exchanges because it’s not actually a real token. It’s more like the tickets you get at an arcade that you can use to purchase prizes— it’s not worth anything outside the ROLLERCOIN ecosystem. And that’s how they’re able to keep it pegged to pretty much equal the USD. No market fluctuations on in-game points.

So will I shift my hash power to RLT?

Yes. Unequivocally. Without hesitation.

Because the balance is so stacked toward rewarding miners of RLT that I know it is worth it without even having to do the calculations. RollerCoin wants us to mine RLT instead of the other coins, so they make it more profitable on the whole. If we only mine RLT the only thing we can do with it is buy miners (you can’t convert RLT to BTC, or to BNB, though you can convert those coins RLT). If we never mine anything else, they never have to pay any withdrawals. It will almost always be more profitable to mine RLT than anything else, with the exception of cases like last week where the price of ETH on the open market made it worth mining.

I don’t need the calculations to have faith in this, but of course I have done them.

For every 500th/s of power you have right now, you can get:

  • 0.001589RLT of RLT per block (network power: 18.882)
  • 0.000844RLT of BTC per block (network power: 10.223)
  • 0.001164RLT of ETH per block (network power: 8.799)
  • 0.001063RLT of BNB per block (network power: 3.124)
  • 0.000590RLT of DOGE per block (network power: 3.829)

This uses the following purchase prices for 1RLT:

Obviously this will change as people shift their power to RLT, but it’s unlikely to change drastically enough to shift the balance. If RLT is more profitable by far when split among 42% of the power on the entire network, I doubt it will be dethroned by a few extra hash.

The Task Wall

This morning also saw the addition of this image at the top of the “home” page, which appears to be the only way to navigate to the task wall presently:

Though they called it “tasks” instead of offers to make it , this is a regular offer wall and functions just like every other offer wall in your life.

How do I know this?

Because the instructions listed say so:

  • Step 1: do things
  • Step 2: ???
  • Step 3: profit!

The only wiggle here is that where most fiat (and some crypto) walls pay you directly in actual currency, this one pays you in game-points (RLT).

This is by no means unheard of in the crypto world, where it has been a reliable way to earn a profit from the likes of The FireFaucet (earn Auto-Claim Points to run their auto-faucet), (pays in BXT), FaucetCrypto (earn “coins” and cash it out for your choice of cryptos), Cointiply (earn “coins” and cash out for cryptos), and a plethora more. (Drop your favorite in the comments and if I don’t already have an account I’ll use your referral link to sign up.)

While it is true that “a satoshi will always be worth a satoshi,” and systems like CoinPayUfreebitco.inSatoshiHeroSatoshiMonster sites grant you sats directly, having a stack of non-currency specific points in your pocket can be very useful for “buying the dip.”

Inside the RollerCoin site you may not be able to buy any other coins when their prices fluctuate, but you CAN buy miners, and this task wall will help in situations where there is a limited edition miner available, or a sale, or whatever, and you don’t quite have enough. In a moment where the block reward alone would not quite get you there, the task wall provides a secondary grind that isn’t affected by the rest of the network.
