Celebrating Milestones is a great way to also assess your progress and development. Sometimes you may need to re-evaluate your goals or your strategy.
Today I come to share with you that a few days ago I have reached 5000 APX in Appics!
What is APX?
APX is the token of APPICS dApp.
APPICS is an Instagram like dApp, available for IOS and Android.
It is running on the steem blockchain for now, but we have been informed that sometimes soon (?) it will migrate to TELOS blockchain. We have no additional information for the future.

About my experience
I have been posting consistently on Appics for a very long time, I have been enjoying posting my images and also interacting with many uses all over the world.
However, to be honest I have been feeling a little left out because I see that the Team does not seem eager to communicate what's going on and inform us of any specific roadmap.
One of the things that really annoys me is the fact that the amounts mentioned in the app are misleading (a lot!)
For instance, if we see my account - we shall say.. wow! 1637$!
Well, that amount has nothing to do with reality.
That really confuses me and it also creates problems when I try to tell to people about Appics, when showing them my own account.
Let's take a look at my account's wallet
Here we see that my APX is 5251,344
I also have 66 Steem and I see a total $ of 1637,92.
This does not correspond to any current reality.
If I swipe, I see another amount of APPICS power in dollars - which is 787.70

What I really like about this app is that the Team is creating great social media content, they have many followers in social media i.e.
Their Instagram has 6677 followers, while their tiktok has a boasting 109.5 K followers!
I also like the sleek design of the application, the way it looks and even though there could be many improvements and additions - I feel that they are left to be done in the future after the migration.
Another not so nice point is how they promote the dApp via their social media.
I do loooove their graphics and presentation but...
There is currently a travel challenge on Appics where you can win a delegation of APX.
I noticed that they promote it like 10.000 APX are worth a 1000 $! Is that misleading or what?
Also, they post several posts with specific high amounts and present them as if the users have earned APX of the specific worth. But I do not think that it corresponds to reality.
I have asked them a question in regards to a specific post and this is the reply, and my after question..
However, as they mention, we are still waiting for the public launch (when?), so I suppose that these are marketing tricks in order to bring in more people.
My expectations
At the moment my expectations are not so big. I will continue using it (even though I face many problems today after I updated the app) but I would not invest in it if asked to. The Team has to persuade me that they are doing efforts and they should be able to present a feasible, viable roadmap.
Who should use APPICS?
I would suggest it to anyone with a passion for photography, dance, art, nature etc etc for a way to enter the blockchain ecosystem. However if the content creator's goal is to monetize their content, I am not sure if APPICS can meet their expectations (with the current situation - January 2021 - as this post is being written). They could well build a community though, and find very helpful people who will be happy to answer your every question.
