Are you playing Alien Worlds? If you've been playing for a little bit, then you have probably found at least one NFT you can't use yet. I got an extra Standard Shovel and sold it for 0.6 WAX on the marketplace... Which you can do, sure, but did you know that there's something better you can do with it?
You can stake it on R-Planet! It's very easy to do, and you can unstake it whenever you want. I have my Nordic Warrior minion card staked there, and it yields me one AETHER every hour. The website tells us that we should be able to merge that AETHER to create new NFTs, but we can't actually do that right now... They posted a photo of the merging system to Twitter on January 13th, though, so that must mean it is coming soon.
In case you don't want to play the R-Planet game, you can also exchange AETHER for WAX on the Alcor exchange. The exchange rate right now is 0.00040003 WAX per AETHER. You can also exchange your TLM for WAX directly, and once you've exchanged it for WAX, you can get some EOS or another wrapped asset if you want. You can trade 1 WAX for 0.01 EOS on the exchange, which makes one AETHER worth about 400 EOS satoshi. Man, this blockchain is awesome!
I wish I had known that before I sold my Standard Shovel... I knew I was selling it at 0.1 WAX less than the average cost, but I was still surprised at how quickly it was scooped up :P

I didn't buy any land to mine on because I just heard about Alien Worlds less than a week ago from the Cryptomonkeys NFT giveaway post (lol I probably wouldn't have bought any regardless), but I have verified that you get more Trillium if you mine on a planet with a larger supply. You can check the TLM stashes of each planet on the block explorer. Kavian currently has the most TLM staked. You'll also want to mine on some land where the owner isn't trying to extort you, in case you hadn't figured that out either.
