Isn't official yet and PayPal Inc or Venmo didn't confirmed the rumours about the companies interest in offering service to buy and sell Cryptocurrency to their customers (more than 330 millions spreaded worldwide), but a coindesk article mention that 3 sources linked to the company assure that the fintech is planning to roll up the services to buy and sell crypto thru their clients dashboard.
The movement if confirmed in next few days would be a big catalyst to the market of Cryptocurrencies special BTC, as PayPal is one of the main online payments services of the world. The PayPal online services have been only connected to Crypto to allow customers (back in 2018) in U.S to withdraw funds from COINBASE Exchange.
European Coinbase users and Canada in 2019 could also use Paypal to withdraw their funds. The connection between the fintech firm with coinbase exchange have been carried since 2016, but never took the company to offer services to buy and sell directly from their customers.
The company also have been involved with the stablecoin backed by Facebook that yet to be launched in the end of the year (accordingly to roadmap) but due to unclear regulations issues by the association backing the global project forced the PayPal team to withdraw from it and pursue their own projects!
The company may be yet to confirm it but assuming that until now they didn't denied officially it seems all can be prepared to see the Giant firm entering to Crypto field.
The repercussion would be huge on crypto market and more than 330 millions of PayPal users connected to a whole new word of decentralized assets.
