Our journey around Georgia has entered a new stage. We decided to move along the Military Road from Tbilisi to the town of Stepantsminda, at the foot of Mount Kazbek.
Nasza podroz po Gruzji weszla w nowy etap. Postanowilismy przemiescic sie Droga Wojenna z Tbilisi do miejscowosci Stepancminda, u podnoza gory Kazbek.
Of course, there are many attractions along the way, so we didn't go by marshrutka, but by rented taxi. The cost of such pleasure is 150 lari for the entire taxi, so it's expensive, because it's PLN 250. But if you look hard enough, you will find companions.
Po drodze oczywiscie jest wiele atrakcji, dlatego tez nie wyruszylismy marszrutka, tylko wynajeta taksowka. Koszt takiej przyjemnosci to 150 lari za cala taksowke, wiec drogo, bo to 250 zl. Ale jak sie dobrze poszuka, to znajdzie sie wspoltowarzyszy.
At the "Didube" bus station in Tbilisi, I noticed two young girls talking in Polish. They were going to Kazbegi just like us. I suggested splitting the costs and taking a taxi. The cost is higher than a marshrutka, but something for something. The taxi driver stopped at the places we wanted to visit, and there was no problem with that.
Na dworcu autobusowym :"Didube" w Tbilisi zauwazylem dwie mlode dziewczyny rozmawiajace po Polsku. Wybieraly sie do Kazbegi tak, jak my. Zaproponowalem podzial kosztow i przejazd taksowka. Koszt wyzszy od marszrutki, ale cos za cos. Taksowkarz zatrzymywala sie w miejscach ktore chcielismy odwiedzic, i nie bylo z tym zadnego problemu.
Additionally, the older gentleman was very entertaining because he offered us home-made wine, which he drank himself while driving. Then it became a bit dangerous because he started drinking chacha while driving. But we arrived safely.
Dodatkowo, to byl bardzo rozrywkowy starszy Pan, bo poczestowal nas domowym winem, ktore zreszta sam popijal w czasie jazdy. Potem zrobilo sie troche niebezpiecznie, bo zaczal popijac w czasie jazdy "czacze". Ale dojechalismy szczesliwie.

This is a communication route whose origins date back to the first century AD. Roman and Persian troops, as well as civilians, marched along it for trade purposes. This has not changed so far. Driving along this 208 km long route, you can encounter lines of trucks heading to the Russian part of the Caucasus, to Vladikavkaz.
To szlak komunikacyjny, ktorego poczatki siegaja pierwszego wieku naszej ery. Maszerowaly nim wojska rzymskie i perskie, oraz cywile w celach handlowych. To nie zmienilo sie do tej pory. Jadac tym szlakiem o dlugosci 208 km, mozna napotkac sznury tirow jadacych do rosyjskiej czesci Kaukazu do Wladykaukazu.
To complete this route, you need to cross the Krzyzowa Pass, which is located at an altitude of 2,379 m above sea level. A very strange experience, because you are floating in the clouds and the temperature is winter.
Aby pokonac tre trase, trzeba przejechac przez Przelecz Krzyzowa, ktora znajduje sie na wysokosci 2379 m n.p.m. Bardzo osobliwe doznanie, bo plynie sie w chmurach, a temperatura jest zimowa.

Po drodze jedna z atrakcji jest Pomnik Przyjazni
It is a monument of Russian-Georgian friendship, but unfortunately, nowadays it has nothing to do with reality. Georgians don't like Russians, there are many reasons, but it's politics and I'm not going to deal with it.
To pomnik przyjazni Rosyjsko-Gruzinskiej, ale niestety w obecnych czasach ma to sie nijak do rzeczywistosci. Gruzini nie lubia Rosjan, powodow jest wiele, ale to polityka, a je sie tym nie mam zamiaru zajmowac.
Currently, the friendship monument is entirely covered with a beautiful mosaic depicting the history of Georgia and Russia. The rotunda-shaped monument was built in 1983, when the USSR was already falling.
Obecnie pomnik przyjazni pokryty jest w calosci piekna mozaika przedstawiajaca historie Gruzji i Rosji. Pomnik w ksztalcie rotundy powstal w 1983 roku, gdy ZSRR chylilo sie juz ku upadkowi.
From this place there is a beautiful view of the Krzyzowa Pass and the nearby valleys. The effect is amazing.
Z tego tez miejsca rozposciera sie przepiekny widok, na przelacz krzyzowa, oraz pobliskie doliny. Efekt niesamowity.
