New to dCity - One Week Later

One week ago I came across a great tutorial for dCity beginners written by @libertycrypto27 and it got me hooked in. I started my own city (@merthin) and decided to give it a bit of a push. I bought 500 HIVE (my very first HIVE purchase, used Binance!) and got about building the city.

I shared the state of my dCity after the initial investment.

Now, a week later (and no more investments - all growth has been organic), my city is almost twice as big. In the beginning I didn't have enough population, now I am struggling to get a job for everyone (unemployed are on social benefits, which drains my budget)

My initial goal was to have sizable population and a solid source of income. These two goals have been accomplished. By doing so, I have also increased popularity (which effects population). You will see that my dCity lags behind in education and creativity. I will focus my efforts there now. Note that education growth gives results in increments of 40 and creativity grows in units of 80. Investments there are long term projects.

Speaking of education, I have collected my first Technology cards. Note that unlocking doesn't give the actual cards - they have to be either discovered or bought on the market.

After the initial investment of 500 HIVE and a week of building my city, it is ranked within the top 500. My next goal is to hit the top 400 which makes me eligible for participation in HIVE sharing.
