My Little Gambling Investments

I love gambling.

However, personally, I'm not a gambler at all. I find all those roulettes, dices and blackjacks simply boring. What I love is to invest in gambling projects. The second derivation of gambling, if you will.

I'm aware that from the general moral point of view gambling is considered being at least a dubious thing. Some religions forbid not only gambling, but even all gambling-related activities, including investing in gambling ventures. Well, I don't want to argue about all that, and would certainly advice against having gambling as your major hobby, and even more so -- considering playing roulette as a "source of living".

That said, I'd want to talk about my inwastements into gambling industry.

Investing in gambling is a boring thing, with no thrill at all. The only thing that is good about it is (relative) reliability and stability of income. In other words, when managed properly a casino simply can't go broke and is not interested in a quick scam exit. A good casino wants to live long, to have more customers, and to generate more profits in the long run. Until recently taking part in those profits was a relatively tricky thing. But with crypto it all has become much easier!

Well, here are my picks. I must note that so far I've made all these investments just for fun and at the moment I don't consider them my "sources of income".

Earnbet

I found Earnbet when I started to play Prospectors game and looked for a way to make use of WAX tokens which I'd got for my Prospectors PGLs.

Earnbet has its own BET token, which is traded at Newdex for WAX (and also at Binance DEX, Uniswap, and others). The token is very volatile and low cap, it's still possible to buy it pretty low and to sell at x2-3 price if you wait long enough (though small orders only possible, because of low cap). It's also possible to get BET for playing, but their "1 BET for every 0.02 BTC wagered" is hardly a good way to invest.

In the beginning it was enough to hold BET in WAX wallet (if you used the wallet for signing in), but later the guys demanded to freeze BETs for a certain period. In return they offered a "dividend multiplier" -- the longer your "period" is, the more "stake points" you get.

Shortly, I've frozen all my 286 BET for 5 years and got 2542 "points" (i.e. a x8.88 multiplier). Every month Earnbet guys pay me some dividend in WAX, EOS, TRX, ETH, etc, and their current ROI is about "mere" 40%. However, because my stake is very small and payments are tiny, I will be able to withdraw my dividends no sooner than my 5 years deposit ends...

TrustDice

I leaned about Trustdice guys here at PUBLISH0X last summer. The project has its own TXT token, which is traded at Newdex for EOS.

When they just started, they offered a wager2mine feature along with a faucet, from which you could get free crypto to mine TXT. As usual, I was kinda late to the party, and managed to mine only ~5K TXT for free. Then I took some EOS  from my Prospectors earnings and bought 200K TXT at Newdex. My initial TXT investment was about US$10 and it's pretty much doubled since then. Also I managed to withdraw and to reinvest 0.35 EOS of dividends.

Today I have 210K TXT staked, which bring me daily about US$0.06 at today's crypto rates.

Wager2mine feature is currently largely useless, it still works, but it's much better to buy TXT tokens at the exchange. I jerk the faucet from time to time to get some ETH pennies, but keep them on account.

I'm going to accumulate 1M TXT at Trustdice, if I manage to reinvest the dividends and get enough EOS from Prospectors. I'd love to be a TXT millionaire!

Betfury

I learned about Betfury guys for a quite some time already. Half a year or so ago they started their "get BFG for wagered TRX" wager2mine. As usual, there was then a wave of hype here at Publish0x, but since at that time the guys didn't offer any faucet, I was not much interested in their project.

Later something happened (I don't know what exactly) and Betfury guys moved from TRX to BTC and added a BTC faucet. "Previous" BFGs have become "BFG-TRX", and "new" BFGs are "BFG-BTC". Now it's possible to get BTC satoshis from the faucet and to wager2mine BFG-BTC "for free"! Besides, wager mining is pretty much the only way to get BFG, since it's not listed anywhere, as far as I know.

BFG-BTC is promised to have 350% ROI -- no wonder that again there's a large hype wave about Betfury here at Publish0x!

The mining process is pretty much standard. You jerk the faucet to get 25 sats, go to Dice game, put it in "auto" mode, set winning rate to max (95%), wager amount to min (1 sat), push the Start button -- and there it goes!

I currently have about 40 BFG at Betfury and I'm going to add more with their faucet and wager2mine, if I manage to use my employer's time for that.

Final Words

1st, I want to reiterate that my gambling investments above are "toy" investments. If you're going to invest like $1000 in a project -- you'd better know exactly what you're doing and why.

2nd, the "ROI" actually depends on many things, or more exactly, on prices of various cryptos, and can fluctuate quite widely.
