Just another a quick public service announcement update today, thanks to SugarFix for letting me know about this one. A while back now COINBASE Earn gave us an intro to the Compound (COMP) token and platform. This appears to be an extension of that series however, with the add bonus of the referral style additional earning we saw with the XLM and EOS programs.
No quiz this team or videos, this one is a $10 task based item that requires users to have the Coinbase Ether wallet. it seems the team over at Coinbase have noticed that a lot of folks are interested in using DeFi projects that earn interest on tokens and want to remind everyone this is possible with their app as well, where you're responsible for your own key (remember the app is not an extension of the normal site).

Details
To qualify for these videos you need to make sure that you've got your account to the highest verification level (KYC) and live in one of the eligible regions. You can find more details on the Coinbase Earn help page, regarding the eligibility criteria, here:

Once in the earn pages click through to COMP (after completing the normal lessons) and you'll see an advanced lesson section.
Next you'll click to start the tutorial and will be faced with a few simple click through pages and a bit of waiting (make sure you have the app already and in connected to your account, to connect your Coinbase account to your wallet app click on the cog on the bottom bar and complete the connection in the "Connections" section, apologies if these steps are vague it is a while since I connected mine).
Follow the steps on screen and provided your wallet is linked when you click on the ready to earn interest you will see this page (above right), this indicates you're going to receive funds in your Coinbase app wallet, be patient. The next few steps are all done through the app but include info on the earn screen as well to help guide you along.
App Steps:
- 1) Check your funds have arrived and then click on "Earn interest on your crypto"
- 2) Select USC Coin from the list
- 3) Choose interest earning provided (Compound) and click 'continue'
- 4) Select the full amount and click 'continue'
- 5) It will take a few mins while the blocks are mined (remember this is an on chain DeFi product)
- 6) You should see it show up now int the balance
- 7) When you go back to the main screen you should see the equivalently Compound 'place holder' token in your wallet
At this point check the main earn screen, you will need to click for the earn site to verify the process was complete. Once it is you'll see this.
Done, you get to keep whatever ETH is left in your DeFi wallet and plus you get the bonus $10 COMP into your Coinbase account immediately. Once you've done all of that you can now become a minion of the evil COMP overloard and share with others
As with XLM and EOS if you don't want to use my ref link or it doesn't work please consider heading over to the Coinbase Earn Reddit page and use someone's referral links. It will make their day and there is really no reason no to, as there is no downside for you. Then once you're done with the videos you can go ahead and share your own links on Reddit....and this the circle of life (erm...airdrops) continues.
