As the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin continues its rally, investors have become interested in Bitcoin mining.
A person from Russia shared about mining that he started to make a big investment. An official from BitRiver, a mining device manufacturer, stated that a person from Russia had ordered 20,000 mining units.
According to the Russian news agency, BitRiver CEO Igor Runets confirmed the order and provided the following details. It was stated that 14 truck mining devices with a total capacity of 79 Mw and worth about 40-60 million dollars were delivered to the Russian investor in December 2020.
The CEO declined to provide the buyer information and the country that issued the devices. Also avoiding to mention the features of the purchased device, the CEO stated that the mining pool was installed in Bratsk, where one of the large hydroelectric stations was located.
Although the investor chose to install a large pool in Russia, there is still uncertainty about Bitcoin mining in the country. The crypto money law enacted in Russia in January 2021 does not contain a clear regulation on mining.
