Love Apple Pay? Now BitPay will support it
As we transition further away from our pocket based wallets to phone based wallets (apps) aka Digital Transformation. Most phone users are familiar with Apple Pay or Google Pay (sync Credit Card) and go almost touchless at retailer checkouts. A great payment feature anytime, not just in a Pandemic soaked world.
The US branch of BitPay announced their prepaid Mastercard can now be linked to Apple Pay 'wallet' (https://www.apple.com/apple-pay/). This means as a BitPay card holder you can spend account crypto at retailer either online or in-person assuming you have the funds to cover said costs.
What does the future hold for BitPay? Look for them to add Samsung Pay and even Google Pay once those integrations are complete later this year.
Summary - Another brick in the Crypto Wall for making life easier for those ready to enter the future today. Apple Pay and BitPay will lead but for how long is the question. I love a great game of competition; don't you?
