As a newbie to cryptocurrency and an older dude, certainly allot older than those I am learning from on YouTube and elsewhere, I thought I would share my journey with you all.
Now I am certain that there are many out there, young or more senior, looking to either wade in slowly or indeed jump in feet first or perhaps have a general sceptical phobia of crypto currency. I must admit that when some friends of mine, back in 2014 were raving about this thing called and it being the future currency of the world, I just shook my head and laughed..... now, I shake my head and cry :( Have I missed the boat?
Recently I was in a conversation with some younger friends who said they had invested in crypto currency and that prompted me to commit to learning more. So over the last week I have had the time to do the research and was amazed by what I found. Where have I been?
One of the first things I discovered early was to learn the crypto language! Wallets, cold storage, blockchains, forks and gas! Now I am on a journey of discovery yet that sounds more like an inventory for a road trip type of vacation! And Mining new crypto currency coins? Is that what I need my Fork for? That will take forever!
However if you take the time to learn some of these terms then the information being shared will all fall into place. And as you learn, take a consensus of opinion and do not just listen to one of those self appointed gurus. Make a commitment to learn but also make a commitment to at least 'give it a go'. And you may still be asking " is it too late to be involved?" Well in my humble opinion, it is never too late to try something new! But like me do the research and obtain professional advice if you have any financial questions.
And so my journey has just begun. This very week and I have enrolled in an exchange 'Coinbase'. Yet I am taking baby steps.
