Kolobok - A pretty good WAX Game

Do repost and rate:

Alright guys let's take a break from all my NFT's post and dig into a game. This time we are looking at Koloboks. I found this game because I need to stake more on rPlanet to get more Aether. I saw a post about how common NFT's from Kolobok stake for 4 Aether per hour on rplanet as apposed to the common on Alien Worlds that stake for 0.6 Aether per hour. I thought that can't be right because that is a huge difference. Well there is a reason.

What is Kolobok the game?

The game has a simple setup. You buy Kolobok and once you have 2 you can breed them together to grow a new one. You can then breed again or sell your offspring and send it on adventures. (Technically you can sell or go on adventures with any Kolobok you own). Rinse and Repeat over and over again.

How do I get started?

What I would recommend is buying 2 Kolobok to start and test out the waters. The one major problem I haven't figured out though is when buying Kolobok's is to know the stats of it before you purchase it. There has to be a way but I have no idea how. In my stupidity I ended up buying 6 Koloboks before I realized the transactions actually went through. So take it from me and take it slow. Simple Market is where you can buy Koloboks and sell them.

What is a Kolobok NFT?

There are 2 types so let's break it down.

First is the little guys that I refer to as 'Koloboks'. They look something 11 block by 11 block designed in a way to look like... well I don't know actually. It just a little figure/animal I guess.

The 2nd type of NFT in the game is the Reward NFT. They are what you get after you send your Kolobok's on adventures. These are the guys you can stake to rplanet. I have only ever received common ones and they stake at 4 Aether per hour. So it would stand to reason the uncommon, rare and Epic's stake at a higher rate.

How do you play the game?

Let's get into the nitty gritty. I couldn't find a guide out there for this game so I will do my best to explain it based purely on my personal experience.

This is the "home page"

Up at the top you have a few tabs:

Bounty: I think you can turn in adventure rewards for a bounty reward? But I am totally guessing as I have never used it.

My Koloboks: This is where all your Koloboks live (think inventory)

Family Tree: I haven't used this yet but it appears that you can create your own family tree I guess?

Breeding: This is where your Kolobok's go when they are making baby Koloboks.

Claim: When you get rewards or breed babies this is where they go and you have to claim them to get them back

Adventures: Where you can see your Kolobok's on adventures

How To: Compeletly useless so don't bother.

Top Right corner: It will have your WAX account and your KBUCKS. You can earn KBUCKS for completing adventures.

Let's make babies!

In your main inventory screen you can see a Breeding and Adventure button on the Koloboks that are ready to perform those tasks. All you need to do is click on Breeding on 2 different Koloboks. When you select 2 this will pop up where you can name your baby. You can change the name only once after it is born so this name doesn't matter.

On the right it will tell you the Breeding time which is how long it will take for the baby to be born. The Growing Time is how long the baby needs after it is born to be an adult and can go on adventures or breed. If you go over to the Breeding tab you can see your baby and the countdown until it is born.

Now you just have to wait for your baby to grow up.

Let's go on an adventure!

With an adult Kolobok you can send it on an adventure. If completed it will get you a reward that from what I can tell is either a NFT or KBUCKS. All you need to do is click on Adventure on one of your Koloboks and select which adventure to go on. There are different levels of adventures and each has its pro's and con's.

All you need is an open Adventure slot and then click on Adventure on one of your Kolobok's. It will bring up this screen at the top where you can pick which adventure you want to go on. Look below a few sections for more detailed Adventure stats.

Then head over to the Adventure tab and watch your little guys run for their lives.

Kolobok's Stats

Each Kolobox has it's own stats. Let take a look at this Kolobok and all it's stats

ID: It's ID number, totally not important

Age: again not that important but fun to see

Health: This is important. Do NOT buy a Kolobok that has a health of zero. Only buy health 100 Koloboks.

Kids: How many offspring it has

Gen: What generation it is. Since he is Gen 17 I am assuming both parents where Gen 16.

Genome: again doesn't really matter

Speed: THIS IS IMPORTANT! The Speed determines how fast they will complete an adventure (Green numbers are good)

Stealth: THIS IS IMPORANT! The Stealth determines how likely they are to die on a adventure. (Green numbers are good)

I like to name my Koloboks with a name that reflects their stats. So SP XXX ST XXX to represent their Speed and Stealth.

How stats effect Adventures

I ran some numbers and here is a little math for you

These stats are based on the Granny and Grandpa Adventure

Speed:

189 = 9 hours 46 minutes

111 = 15 hours 38 minutes

57 = 19 hours and 42 minutes

Stealth:

1.00 = 3.51% chance of death

0.67 = 3.99% chance of death

0.51 = 4.24% chance of death

The Granny adventure is the easiest so if you pick a higher difficulty adventure those numbers will go up significantly.

Types of Adventures

From what I gather I think the adventure is literally your Kolobok going through the forest trying to outrun the thing listed below. Who knows though.

Here are stats from my Kolobok that has stats of Speed 167 and Stealth of 1.00

There does seem to be a bonus if that Kolobok attempts the same Adventure a 2nd time or more than once. Once on the adventure screen it shows a "Boost" by the prize section. Now what is it boosting, I don't know.

That should cover the basics of the game. If anyone has any questions please feel free to let me know.
