Hyperledger welcomes ConsenSys on board as member, focuses on the finance at Sibos

At the recently held Sibos 2019 event in London,Hyperledger took the opportunity to highlight 20 case studies highlighting theusage of enterprise blockchain in the financial sector, as well as welcomeConsenSys as a premier member of the alliance.

The Linux Foundation-hosted open source collaborativeeffort also introduced its Capital Markets Special Interest Group (SIG) toencourage further collaboration and adoption of the technology in the market.

Additionally, Hyperledger made two announcements atthe event. The first was joining of five more members to its global communityand the second was the approval of its 15th project: Hyperledger Besu, which isthe first public chain compatible blockchain project in the Hyperledgergreenhouse.

ConsenSys is the latest premier member to joinHyperledger, whereas companies like Ankr, Avanza Innovations and ChengtayInfotech joined as general members. Moreover, Collegium Da Vinci – a Polishprivate university – joined as one of the associate members in this month.

InJune, Hyperledger welcomed Microsoft and Salesforce as its new members,whereas other names like Russian metal company Norilsk Nickel (Nornickel),Polish agricultural tech solutions developer Gloscad, and American SCM techsolutions developer Milligan Partners, also signed up. China Academy ofInformation and Communications Technology (CAICT), the Ethereum Foundation, andGS1 joined the consortium as associate members.

ConsenSys recently published an article which listed the top 20 blockchain projects on GitHub, based on the highest amount of developer activity. The list is led by names including Status Messenger, Crypto Wallet, and Web3 Browser.
