How to: trade Coinbase stocks on eToro

Today(14.04) is the long-awaited day when the COINBASE IPO goes live on the Nasdaq exchange. I will not go into too much detail, but Coinbase will release shares for about 100 billion USD. In the morning when the market opens their shares will be available to be bought at a price of about 345-350 USD. I personally think that they could have released cheaper stocks with the bigger amount, but what do I know. In any case I think it's worth considering to invest in it.

When I trade stocks I always use eToro, because of its user-friendly interface and excellent mobile app. If by any chance you decide to participate in the Coinbase IPO you will first need to complete your profile and verification like any other Exchange. Then you will need to deposit funds that you can use for trading. For this, you have a large blue button at the bottom left corner of the page.

When you press it you will have another menu where you can insert the information for your credit/debit(or some of the other payment options - including bank transfer, PayPal, Skrill, etc.) card to fund your account. It's super easy and fast. Of course, if you choose to use a bank transfer this will need some time - a day or two for the money to arrive.

Once you have the funds in your account ready you can go directly and start trading the stocks of your choice. In this article, we will focus on the one from the Coinbase IPO. For this, you should go to the search on the top of the page and type "COIN".

Once you select it you will be taken to the Coinbase page:

Currently, the market is closed and the initial price is $343.58. Because of the big expectations for the IPO I expect that the price will rise shortly after the market opens. Here are the steps you need to follow to do to get the stocks in your portfolio.

1) Click on the “Trade” button.

2) Select BUY (go long) or SELL (go short) the stock. If click on “BUY” this means that will be making a profit if the stock will go up. If you decide to “SELL” you will generate profit if the price goes down.

3) If you decide to trade with a margin select your leverage of choice and Stop Loss and Take Profit points. This means that if you select stop loss and take profit, eToro will automatically close your trade once the stocks hit the selected value.

Note: Important to remember if you don't use leverage and you are playing "long" positions, you will pay no trading fees.

4) Click on the “Open Trade” button.

I hope this helps. I use eToro from time to time and I think it's a great platform. If anyone wants to join under my link please find it below:
