This means it can be mined by anyone with a decent GPU, and not just big companies, mining farms and the like.
It is a truly de-centralised crypto, mined by the people, for the people.
So why should you get involved in Vertcoin? Well, for a number of reasons. Firstly, you are supporting a decentralised coin. Compare this to Bitcoin, where over 60% of the global hash rate is located in China, or that the only people who can mine it are those with specific ASIC machines and those that can access very cheap electricity (and hearing protection!)
Secondly, by mining Vertcoin, you are earning a regular and ongoing income. It is very easy to setup, and once it is done, it simply runs on your computer in the background.
