How Answerly works?

Before we dive into this topic, we recommend checking out our previous post that discusses everything that you need to know about Answerly. In this topic, we will highlight some of the most important functions of Answerly.

Adding questions: - Html link

This pop-up opens up as soon as the user click on "Ask question" button.

This pop-up consists of 2 different sections, "Questions" and "Polls". The title field is where the actual question is supposed to go. This field is limited to 75 characters and obviously it's necessary to be filled.

Then comes the description box which can have up to 500 characters. The description box is optional and here, the user may add in any relevant details to support his question.

The third field is for tags. These tags make it easy for users to search for relevant questions and topics. In order to post a question on Answerly, you're required to add a minimum of three tags in this field. A question can have up to 5 tags.

Lastly, there's an image section that allows you to:

  • Upload an image to the question
  • Add an image link
  • Or, search for a relevant image from Unsplash library. You just need to add in the keyword and it will list down all relevant images from Unsplash for that keyword.

Adding polls: - Html link

- Polls can also have up to 75 characters in the title field.

 - You can have up to 5 different options for Polls.

 - Similar to questions, a user must add 3-5 tags on polls.

Adding answers: Html Link

The minimum acceptable word count for answers is 50 words. However, it's advisable that you add in detailed and well-explained answers. (Check out our "guidelines" section on the top-right side on answer text-box.)

Every answer passes through a plagiarism checker before being posted. The answer must contain at least 80% uniqueness.

You may also save your answers in drafts section. If, for any reason, you get disconnected from the internet, your computer suddenly turns off, or you accidentally close the tab, your answer will automatically get saved in Drafts.

Topics: Html link

All question that contain "Arts" tag will automatically be added in this section. For example: If you add a question "How to buy bitcoin?" with tags "Bitcoin" "Crypto" and "Buy",

This question will automatically be added in these 3 topics and will be shown to everyone who is following these Topics.

Inactive, active & locked questions: - Html link

  • Inactive question: Questions that haven't been answered, in other words "Unanswered questions". As soon as anyone adds an answer on inactive questions, it automatically turns active. All answers added to that question within the first 15 days (of being active) will compete for the best answer reward.
  • Active questions: Questions that have at least 1 answer and will soon be locked.
  • Locked questions: This means that no more answers can be added to this question because it has already been answered and the best answer reward for this question has already been distributed.

Search: - Html link

For every search query, 3 types of results would be generated:

  • Questions that match your searched keyword
  • Users that match your searched keyword
  • Topics that match your searched keyword

Status: - Html link

The status function works similar to tweets or stories on instagram. In simple words, it allows you to share a short text message and an *optional* relevant link with your followers. Only the users that follow you would see your statuses.

Feeds: - Html link

This function allows you to see the recent activities of users that you're following. Every time someone from your following list adds a question, adds an answer, follows someone, or receive a best answer reward, you'll see an update on your feeds page.

Notifications: - Html link

This function is pretty self-explanatory.

Wallet: - Html link

Wallet page consists of 2 sections:

  • Earnings: This section highlights the best answer rewards that you've received along with the question title, date, and rewarded amount in ANSR.
  • Withdrawals: This section lists down all your past withdrawals.

Creating a withdrawal: - Html link

The minimum withdrawal amount is set to 10 ANSR. You just need to add in the required amount of ANSR tokens to withdraw along with your email address. The payment link would be sent to your email address. When a user clicks on this withdrawal link, he will be redirected to Lobstr wallet from where he can easily claim the earnings.

Note: 0.5 ANSR tokens will be deducted from your total withdrawn amount and transferred to Blocktech ventures. Check out our project announcement page for more details.

Stats: - Html link

Stats page lists down the following info about the platform:

  • Total number of users
  • Total number of questions
  • Total number of Answers
  • Total number of views
