You have 30 mana available for your next match while playing the Splinterlands Crypto Game. Instead of spending much of it on defenses, how about as little as 3 so you can go all out? That's what you can do if you own a high level Marrow's Ghost. He will stop your opponent's aggression in its tracks. This is specially useful if you think they intend to use a good tank like Arianthus or Silvershield Paladin, because this means your Ghost will last at least a couple of turns.

Black monsters are all about running a timer on your enemy. You should use them as if you are imposing limits to the enemy team, thanks to the many Death Splinter debuffs. Of course, Ghost doubles its effectiveness in Little League and low mana battles. It will tank so much for so little, you will feel like you've been given an extra 10 mana overall. However, when you use him in the "Everyone has Snipe" ruleset, you can pretty much take for granted that he will not die for a very, very long time. He will not be facing anything but a couple of frontline monsters at the most.

The right summoner for the job will do you wonders. And there is one for all of them! Yes, Zintar Mortalis will be lowering multiple attacks in Melee Mayhem, while Contessa L'Ament will have their archers feel drowsy. But you also have DICE's very own Death Summoner, Owster Rotwell, turning Marrow's Ghost the number one choice as a tank for most battles, but particularly the ones where ranged monsters are not allowed. Repel everything!

There are few good combinations available with him. It's mostly just Ancient Lich for a fully armored up Resurrection and Tower Griffin for a durability upgrade. But that's okay, because the whole point of choosing him as your main tank is because of how self-sufficient he can be. The rest of your strategy can be completely focused on debuffs, snipers and sneak attacks.

But I must say there is one card he is incredible with, and that's the beautiful Mimosa Nightshade. Sure, you're instantly forcing your targets to heal for nothing due to her global Affliction debuff, but that's not the perfect advantage. Debuffing their ranged units is pretty good too, yet this is still not it. Would you look at that Void, though! That's the perfect ability for Marrow's Ghost. Melee attacks are scarce in higher leagues, but magic is always in your face.

Combined with Fallen Specter, Mimosa gives your spooky meatshield incredible endurance. This combination allows using Mimosa in battles where other Legendary summoners would not be useful enough because of the much lower total mana you can use.
