Alla por el 2018 y algun tiempo atras hubo un hervidero de ICOs (Initial Coin Offering) en la red, "?que es una ICO?", basicamente es ofertar un servicio que aun no existe (en este caso nuevas criptomonedas) a un "precio especial" para los inversores, cuando salga se les entregara el producto que ahora valdra mas pues es "algo nuevo en el mercado" y su costo se disparara, por lo que los inversores ahora pueden vender el producto a un precio inflado y ganar dinero con el.
Esta forma de hacer negocios es un arma de doble filo:si todo sale bien el proyecto se lanzara y sera algo serio con el tiempo, los inversores recuperaran su dinero al vender las criptomonedas recibidas y todo bien. (ejemplo que la verdad tenia mis dudas que fuera a llegar a algun lugar, pero no es asi, al parecer se trata actualmente de un proyecto funcionando, este es su sitio web https://metahash.org/ y puede adquirirse en algunos exchanges).
Sin embargo muchas de esas "propuestas" de inversion resultaron ser autenticos fraudeslos "creadores" de la nueva criptomoneda solo esperamos a que hubiera unos cuantos cientos de miles de dolares y jamas volvimos a saber de ellos, tan mala era la situacion que incluso plataformas como Facebook prohibieron toda publicidad relacionada con criptmonedas en un intento por frenar a los estafadores.
Eso no consiguio que las estafas siguieran a la orden del dia como la criptomoneda Tolkien que operaba sin permiso para usar el nombre del creador del Senor de los anillos (que termino siendo demandada y obligada a cerrar sus operaciones) o aquella basada en el juego del Calamar tan famoso hace unos anos; en esta ocasion los desarrolladores del token se esfumaron con los millones de dolares recaudados dejando tras de si a miles de "inversores"un token que ni siquiera se podia vender para recuperar algo.
Mas recientemente la cosa sigue igual, visitando el sitio de Criptonoticias me he topado con una nota algunas semanas atras. Resulta que un grupo presento una propuesta "innovadora"buscando incautos, que diga "inversoresconstruir el "nuevo Disney" (quiero pensar que contaban con permisos para crear nuevo en forma de parques tematicos, peliculas que compitieran contra la casa del raton, etc); investigando un poco mas la empresa detras de esta idea es Impact Theoryse dedico a vender NFTs (de los que hablaremos en un proximo articulo) promoviendo su idea y recaudando 30 millones de dolares en el proceso.
Sin embargo al menos en Estados Unidos las cosas ya no son tan sencillas como hasta hace unos anos atras, la SEC (Comision de Bolsa y Valores por sus siglas en Ingles) es la encargada de frenar a cualquiera que quiera vender valores no registrados, por ejemplo criptomonedas, tokens, NFTs y cualquier otra cosa sin un permiso previo. Ahorita andan durisimo contra nuevas criptomonedas que buscan inversores e incluso contra aquellas ya establecidas como Bitcoin pero que buscan inversores para programas de inversion legales tales como
Asi que lo siento, pero nos vamos a quedar sin el "Disney 2.0", la SEC ha echado todo abajo y la empresa se ha visto obligada a destruir sus NFT y pagar millones en multas y de paso devolver el dinero
Ni modo ninos, no va a haber "Disney 2.0".
Antes de invertir en cualquier proyecto en la red hay que ver cuanto tiempo tiene operando la empresa, que reputacion tiene, si esta pagando o no, etc y no irnos con cualquier nueva propuesta que salga, muy probablemente sea una estafa. Incluso proyectos que se veian serios con varios anos operando como se fueron a la bancarrota de un dia para otro.
