Finding the Way in 2021

Do repost and rate:

Thermodynamics kind of gives a good reason for there being evil.

Does that make science evil, or just accurate sometimes?

I see how you could think that either way.

Death is more thermodynamically stable.

Life is a force that has the capacity to push us over some sort of saddle point on a large metastable surface.

Death is a local minimum on that surface because it doesn't push entropy around.

Life is a network of synergistic cells, or even just several organelles.

Then again, if you expand the definition of life, you could consider only one organelle, that being the nucleus, constituting it.

A virus is a nucleus, the essence of what constitutes life.

Or do you go one step further and decide that DNA, the language of life, is what constitutes it?

Or do you maybe use a different word to describe the same thing?

Statistically speaking, you likely do that.

It's very complex when you think about it.

If you tell me science is hard, I will definitely agree. That's the point. When fighting an uphill battle to describe the path of entropy and energy, you kind of have to expect that.

You might ask whether science is our means to describe some things that we weren't necessarily meant to.

Money is an important element of life right now, but definitely not the only one.

And definitely more so on a grand scale of broken maths and rebalancing and the future of the planet than something like the obligatory buying of gifts or getting snacks from a vending machine.

(For the record, I do not recall touching a vending machine in years)

But it's also an element of all those things.

It's entropy that is stopping more transactions from processing in a second. When it gets cold, that's a little more of an issue, too.

But humans find ways around these things. Someone will find another path through space that allows them to happen.

I like when that happens.

So does the planet, of course.

The Lightning network makes the Bitcoin more efficient, right? We may already own assets that are loads more efficient, too. Improvement is going on right now, and at least a few people are doing a captcha for Google. Maybe artificial intelligence will make it more efficient. I swear the Moon Litecoin and Moon Dash faucet captchas give me profound life advice sometimes.

Does that mean we need to tell artificial intelligence that keeping us alive is good?

For our own protection, probably ????

Good thing that's how it is being programmed now, I think.

If we didn't have a government, large-scale technology likely wouldn't exist, for better or worse.

That makes sense, with the yinyang and all. It's cool that Western culture regularized the yinyang and didn't associate it with gossip. Then again, I often wish people would be gossiping about ancient symbols.

Something I like about this symbol in relation to others is that the ?? (bagua), or eight characters, includes a whole discourse on divination stones. It's always a little more complex, you know.

Here, solve this equation for me:

Then you get 2^2n for the sixty-four combinations of those, and that's a good case for the Dao (?) being pretty advanced.

Either way, this sort of mental alchemy is how you begin to draw different paths to the same place and, in doing so, find the path through space that might help you cross those saddle points and head in the right directions down the other side.
