Yes, friends. After a long wait and a short trial period on the TestNet, EnergiSwap launched this week (first week of March 2021) to a large fanfare on Discord and many of us jumped in to compare the gas fees we would experience using this port of Uniswap on the Energi Blockchain.
Anyone with experience with METAMASK will be familiar with how a web app connects to a web3 wallet. At the moment, there is no Oracle bridging the Energi and Etherium MainNets, so a little work is needed within Metamask to allow you to connect to the Web App and exchange tokens successfully.
If you wish, you can import your MyEnergiWallet into your MetaMask and connect directly with that

First, you need to connect to Metamask by clicking on CONNECT TO WALLET.

I exchanged some of my NRG that I had earned from the Discord channel for Etherium (ETH).
Normally it is when you come to the SWAP stage that you notice the GAS FEES are sometimes greater than the tokens you are trying to buy
However, in this instance, exchanging 20 NRG for eETH cost $0.36 and the swap was complete within 1 minute.
For that reason alone, EnergiSwap will be of great use in purchasing wrapped assets while congestion on the ETH network causes incredibly off-putting gas prices
While we cannot bridge to ETH MainNet, the ETH I purchased needs to make some money, so I clicked on POOL in the Menu Bar and provided the NRG/ETH pool with Liquidity
