Decentraland, an Ethereum-based virtual reality platform, has announced that it will be launched to the public on Feb. 20.
According to the announcement, users will see the establishment of the Decentraland DAO and full decentralization of the world’s infrastructure through the public launch.
Users also will have full access to Decentraland’s metaverse.
“From now on, no single agent will have the power to modify the rules of the software, curate LAND content, modify the economics of MANA, upgrade the LAND smart contract unilaterally, or prevent others from accessing the world, among other decentralization features,” Decentraland added.
To celebrate the public launch of the platform, Decentraland will be holding a four-day Treasure Hunt where users will have to find collectible non-fungible tokens and tokens from various crypto partners in Genesis City
