According to the announcement page, the contest will run from December 2 to December 15 and participants will be tasked with creating a unique, interactive scene using Decentraland’s drag-and-drop Builder, which requires no coding ability to use. This is made possible thanks to Decentraland’s new smart items, which are fully configurable providing customization in terms of location and behavior. These items must be used for event submissions to be considered for a reward.
The winning submission will earn $10,000 in MANA and LANDs, while the 2nd and 3rd place finishers will take home $7,000 and $5,000, respectively. Decentraland will be giving out prizes through the 45th-place finisher.
As we previously reported, the project conducted its second SDK Hackathon in September, giving away 2.5 million MANA and 200 parcels of LAND.
