Could Brave 2.0 Map Solve BAT's Problem?

Do repost and rate:

As a longtime BRAVE user, I could never really figure out what was going on with Brave's cryptocurrency BAT. From what I could really ever figure out you only had a few options and none of them were exactly great. There were three options available for the average user. You could either tip creators, convert your BAT into something that had more functionality, or HODL. For the longest time I could never really figure out what I wanted to do so I ended up doing a mixture of all three which was probably the worst option.

Last month I saw an article on here that touched on the issue with Brave and BAT by Bragato18 called, "The Brave and BAT Yearly Health Check". I could not agree more with the issue of people HODLing their BAT because unless they used the TAP Network to convert it to gift cards it lacked a useful purpose. The idea was there and the value underneath the token was there but the execution was lacking.

This is where the Brave Map 2.0 comes into play. With the launching of a decentralized exchange or DEX that has discussed letting people who have BAT in their wallets use the BAT to pay for fees or have the fees reduced. This is an excellent use of this crypto and would really allow it to garner momentum. The buybacks of BAT that the Brave Team has done are not a long-term solution to give the coin value. BAT like any other crypto needs a use something people can apply it to and the idea of reduced or paying fees with BAT when using the DEX would accomplish that very idea! Hopefully, we get to see this exchange launch sooner rather than later and Brave users get a fantastic ability to use their BAT!
