Coinbase Pro announced on Thursday that it plans to list Cosmos (ATOM) on Monday, January 13.

According to the announcement, ATOM/USD, and ATOM/BTC pairs will be available following a transfer-only period that will allow for the necessary liquidity. While there’s no set time for the launch of trading, the transfer-only period usually does not last that long.

“Cosmos is an interoperable blockchain protocol that facilitates the transfer of data between existing chains,” added COINBASE in the announcement. “It operates via a hub-and-spoke model that leverages the design elements of other chains to enable cross-chain interaction. The Cosmos framework features a Byzantine Fault-Tolerant (BFT) consensus algorithm developed by Tendermint to secure the protocol.”

This news comes several days after the Coinbase Pro app officially launched for Android.

ATOM is also currently available on both Binance US and Voyager, a commission-free trading app.
