One of the most prominent and important exchanges in the world, Coinbase, has listed today the crypto FileCoin in their platform.
Filecoin ($FIL) is defined as a "decentralized storage system that aims to “store humanity’s most important information.” According to CoinMarketCap, $FIL raised more than $200 million in an initial coin offering in 2017. It has a total supply of 44,584,205 FIL and it currently ranging $31-32 USD per token.
The price jumped more than 3% upon listing at Coinbase, something that is known as the "Coinbase Effect" although we can see this raise in other exchanges such as Binance.

Projects like this and Storj are really impressive since they are like Google Drive or Dropbox but a decentralized network that uses a small amount of hard-disk space of thousands of PCs, in a network larger and more secure than anything that we've seen so far.
