In a blog posted just a few days ago, Coinabse, the leading US crypto Exchange disclosed that they are looking into ways of adding support for 19 new coins.
"These new assets include, in alphabetical order:
Ampleforth, Band Protocol, Balancer, Blockstack, Curve, Fetch.ai, Flexacoin, Helium, Hedera Hashgraph, Kava, Melon, Ocean Protocol, Paxos Gold, Reserve Rights, tBTC, The Graph, THETA, UMA, and WBTC"
According to Coibase's announcement.
It is important to note that the fact a coin is considered for listing doesn't necessarily mean it will eventually get listed. COINBASE said that every coin reviewed will go trough a technical and conpliance analysis and some of them may even require different regulatory approvals in different jurisdictions.
Why this news might be important for some is the fact that most of the time when a new coin is listed on Coinbase, it's price goes up quite a bit in the following days, reverting back to normal afterwards.
