An analysis from the New York Times of internal pay data at the San Francisco company COINBASE showed disparities that were much larger than those in the tech industry. The fast-growing cryptocurrency start-up Coinbase has been rattled in recent months by tensions between executives and employees who said they were being treated unfairly because of their race or gender.  More discussion on this article can be found here.  Now that Bitcoin's price is soaring, so is the stock price of crypto companies, in particular mining firms. This is in part due to institutional investors wanting to get involved.
