This announcement from me may be a bit late, but this still looks like a screaming opportunity! A few days ago as of this writing, BRAVE and an up-and-coming blockchain gaming website called Gala Games have partnered with one another, enabling users of Gala to buy non-fungible tokens (NFT's) with BAT, including limited-edition glass crystals featuring characters for a soon-to-be-released game with redemption codes for NFT's on the Brave marketplace. In exchange, Gala Games will promote the Brave Browser as its recommended browser for accessing the website. Doesn't sound like much yet? I will explain the good stuff soon.
Currently, Gala Games has only one active game, called Town Star. However, there is another one soon to be released, called Mirandus. Here is where it gets exciting! In Mirandus, one can be an adventurer, trying their luck and fortune against various monsters, a shopkeeper, selling various things to various people, or a landowner, where both of the above stay and deal. Here is a twist – land comes in different ranks. The higher the rank you have, the more aspects of the game you can control! This goes all the way up to Citadel-level properties, where one controls virtually everything about the game! Even if you only own a Homestead, the lowest rank of land, you can control rent, which is denominated in actual cryptocurrency, as is anything of value in Mirandus! Currently, the details of the game are very murky, but what is known is that you can buy and sell many things in Mirandus for actual cryptocurrency, in addition to collecting rent from land. Monsters are also another likely source of crypto. This is rather speculative, but why be an adventurer if you're not getting paid for it? What is less speculative is the implication that you can buy and sell armor and weapons using crypto. As previously mentioned, if you own land, you can control rent. The higher your rank of land, the more crypto you can get. If you own a Citadel, making you King, you can levy taxes on everyone in your kingdom, giving you lots of money! However, to be a King in Mirandus, you pretty much have to be a king in real life – one Citadel costs $500,000! Currently, partly due to such high prices, all five Citadels are still up for grabs. Rich people, buy one and rule your followers benevolently! I only own a Homestead as of yet due to a limited budget, but I hope to be King or something like it in Mirandus or another similar game someday. Because of my current low rank in Gala, I settled for the more generic CryptoSpartan as my current username there.
On a related note, you can actually own a node on Gala Games! It will cost you approximately 8.5 million $GALA as of this writing, but due to current bargain prices for the crypto, that corresponds to about $2,500 in U.S. fiat. With a Gala node, you can mine $GALA and NFT's, presumably including those in Mirandus! You can find some very good items using such a node, and do with them as you wish! Capitalism at its finest! Anyway, I digress.
Brave, a reputable crypto privacy browser, and Gala Games have teamed up, starting with Mirandus. It is a game where you can do just about whatever you wish, especially if you're a King! The game will feature actual cryptocurrency going in both directions! There are cheaper options too, for those on a budget. You can also buy a node on Gala and earn even more!
