Hello everyone and welcome to this new article. Since the advent of the Blockchain, many physical assets have been translated into digital assets, this allowed to avoid thefts and similar situations.
Today we'll talk about something innovative, coming directly from Italy (my motherland!).
What is Bitmonds?
Bitmonds is a brand new type of luxury good. They are diamonds, transposed into a digital asset, authenticated by Blockchain, and securely hold in your account. Many things make Bitmonds a great platform! Launched in 2018, this platform promises an incredible variety of diamonds, all different from each other! This is done by using the EOS Blockchain (previously ETH Blockchain) to digitally authenticate the diamond as a digital good. These Bitmonds are randomly generated by a code which randomizes 6 parameters:
-Color scale
-Crown
-Hexadecimal
-Collection (those are in finished numbers)
-Contrast
-Sharpness
This makes sure that every bitmond is unique and possessed only by you! Isn't this amazing? Anyway, in the photo below you can see how does a diamond looks like.

Do I have to purchase those "digital diamonds"? Really?
As I said, those are digital assets, and so must be purchased through the platform and each Bitmond costs €10. You can pay by using a Credit Card, so there is no need to buy any type of cryptocurrency and similar things. I should remember you that every Bitmond is unique? You'll have a Bitmond that characterizes yourself! That's just something innovative created by an Italian Startup. The idea obviously had some problems and obstacles, but they have been overwhelmed with some external help.
As you can see in the photo you'll pay in Euros, so you'll just need to convert your money into the right currency (if the banks don't do that automatically, and that's quite weird if they don't).
By purchasing these Bitmonds, you'll then have access to some benefits! In the next paragraph, we will see them all.
Do I need to do the KYC?
Due to the Italian and European laws, KYC is made obligatory for all the people that want to sell their Bitmonds in the Marketplace. For those who don't know, the KYC (Know Your Customer) is needed to comply with local and international laws for web investing, and it's in continuous evolution. This procedure is important to do a "card" of your status, for example, the job, and to avoid Money Laundering (indeed it's sometimes called KYC/AML - Know Your Customer/Anti Money Laundering procedure).
You're not obliged to do the KYC, but it's strongly recommended in case you want to sell your Bitmonds later.
What can I do with these Diamonds?
These diamonds have many functions, also an investment one! Yeah, you heard right, there is an algorithm on the site that make the diamond grow in value over time.
-You can buy these diamonds just as for an investment purpose. Their value increases over time.
-You can gift them to someone special or important (remember: the bitmond is unique!).
-You can sell them in the marketplace where other users can buy them and give you the price you asked for in cash.
-You can wear them using your smartwatch.
Unfortunately, I didn't find the table with the respective growth value based on the diamond characteristics (not in English at least), I hope you can find one.
The last point is quite innovative. Think about it: you buy a diamond for €10. Its value increases over time and after one year you can get a diamond of €100 and even more! And you can wear it by using your smartwatch, without any possibility for a thief to rob them.
Is there any Referral Program?
