Zap, the Bitcoin-only startup is thus behind a wallet of the same name . But it does not intend to stop on such a good path: other more advanced applications are thus in the pipeline. And for these new projects to succeed, Zap has just raised $ 3.5 million.
Big names at the table
If the lifting is substantial , it is in fact not so recent: the founder of Zap , Jack Mallers , simply finally announced it publicly , in an interview with Forbes.
This new round of funding will therefore have seen certain figures of crypto investment (but not only) take an interest in the Zap project : the Green Oaks Capital groups (historic investors of Robinhood and Stripe ) and the fund of Morgan Creek placement (led by two co-founders Mark Yusko and Anthony Pompliano ).
Bitcoin to the bank, in one click
Zap is therefore a tool allowing you to directly connect your bank card or you account to the Lightning Network of Bitcoin, and pay someone.

According to Mallers, several ancillary projects are in the pipeline, particularly in connection with Visa. If a credit card is publicly announced, its date of availability is not yet known - except that it should be released "within twelve months" .
