According to rumors, Paypal would be ready to start a service to buy and sell cryptocurrencies by intragrating a wallet. In the same vein also Venmo, a company that allows mobile payments via an app (also owned by Paypal).
This news was given by rumors from Coindesk (Paypal, Venmo To Roll Out Crypto Buying And Selling), as a result of this, Bitcoin has suffered slight increases (same thing Ethereum which immediately gained 3%).
The project could become reality in three months, in fact Paypal is already talking to several exchanges.
Paypal a few years ago spoke of Bitcoin as "the biggest scam in history".
However with the passage of time their position has changed because services such as Square, Revolut and Hype now combine financial banking services with those of buying and selling cryptocurrencies.
Paypal simply could not stay behind (perhaps ending up as Blockbuster who could not adapt to the changing market).
