My name is Trevor and today I wanted to share with everyone my thoughts on Audius.co and their $AUDIO coins!
If you haven't heard about Audius yet, I highly recommend checking it out for those that love Music and Crypto.
Who doesn't love Music and Money?
NOBODY!
What is Audius?
Well, Audius.co is a Music Streaming platform similar to Soundcloud and Spotify!
The main difference is, Audius is built on the Ethereum blockchain in the form of $AUDIO.
The goal for Audius is to tokenize and mint songs as NFT's to help reward and accredit independent music artists.
It's completely free to sign-up and listen to favorite new tracks as a listener.
Listening to songs and building playlists on Audius helps the Music Artists responsible for the tunes!
There is even a possibility that your playlist is featured and rewarded in $AUDIO for building such an amazing playlist people like!
At the moment, there are only a few ways to earn $AUDIO by using Audius.co
- Build a Top 5 Weekly Trending Playlist
- Upload a Top 5 Weekly Trending Song
- Compete in Remix Contests
- Running a Node by Mining
These are currently the only ways to earn $AUDIO other than having to purchase it from an exchange.
Hodling Audius at this low of a Market Cap might be well worth it for a lot of investors.
Especially investors who see how the technology behind Audius makes things like Spotify seem obsolete.
Being practical here, I don't think Audius.co will take over the Cloud-based Music Streaming Industry anytime soon.
Audius is the next big thing for regular people to take back the music industry.
It may not be the next big thing now, but it will be in the future the more artists signup for and upload tracks.
Whether they make great songs or not, there are already people like Cardi B signing up for Audius.
There are also a lot of other artists on there like Skrillex, Disclosure, Billie Eilish, Deadmau5, Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, and even the hilarious stand-up comedian Hannibal Burress.
This shows that Audius isn't just for Music!
It's a place for people to upload Podcasts, stand-up bits, Audiobooks, DJ samples, remixes, ASMR, or anything else your ears can imagine.
Audius does everything those other guys do and more while also being fair to music artists who contribute their hard work.
Mentioning it to family and friends that know nothing about cryptocurrency, all of them said the same thing.
Those other guys are screwed if they can't figure out a way to do the same thing.
Right now, most people pay a subscription to use Spotify.
If they don't, they get annoying (and oftentimes creepy) advertisements in between jamming out to songs.
Now if you're hodling some $AUDIO there are certain benefits that you get depending on how much you have invested!

What's neat here is you don't need to have $AUDIO to enjoy Audius.co
They don't make you buy or hodl audio to get rid of ads because there are none.
If you hear an ad on Audius.co, it's because the person that uploaded the track put it there, not Audius!
The benefits of hodling $AUDIO only get you these few things such as a Badge on your profile or an NFT Collectible for your connected wallet.
As you can see, the "More Things To Come" sections also indicate Audius has some interesting new rewards users could benefit from in the future.
Getting in the Bronze tier isn't too awfully expensive right now either at roughly $30 for 25 $AUDIO coins.
Or if you're willing to dish out about $150 right now for 100 $AUDIO you will get rewarded with NFT Collectibles in addition to getting a Silver Badge showing support for Audius.
