Accepting Bitcoin Donation has over Ongoing Wisconsin Assembly...

A candidate for Wisconsin State Assembly is counterchallenge a state regulator by beginning acceptive donations in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC).

Phil Anderson, a real estate agent and entrepreneur, now taking a bow for acceptance of cryptocurrency donations for his Assembly campaign. According to an official statement made by Anderson, that crypto donations are obtainable through the main cryptocurrency payment service provider BitPay.

Anderson said that his movement is accepting crypto donations in malice of regulatory doubt from the Wisconsin Ethics Commission.

Back in 2018, Anderson accepting bitcoin donation in his campaign for Governor of Wisconsin in spite of the WEC finding them a “serious challenge” to conformity state law and rendering to the candidate, the WEC unsuccessful in reaching a decision regarding the legal status of crypto donations in the state in 2018.

As such, the Wisconsin Assembly candidate is counterchallenge the regulator again, arguing that the WEC “declined to interpret its own rules competently.” Anderson trusts that crypto is a genuine method to brand movement donations because “cryptocurrency is money.” The candidate promises to “push for the laws to be friendly to near cryptocurrency in Wisconsin.”

He says ‘I refuse to give in to unawareness, and bureaucratic ineffectiveness […] People have the choice as to how they contribute, and it’s my intent to honour those choices. If my opponent or the Ethics Commission is interested in challenging me, I’m ready for a fight.’

A number of political candidates for numerous offices in the United States have been started accepting crypto as donations for their campaigns. A former candidate, Andrew Yang, was accepting Bitcoin donations for his political action committee in 2019. In August 2020, Representative Tom Emmer (R-MN) additionally started accepting campaign donations in crypto via BitPay.
